John Rey Dave Aquino

Writer + Teacher

John Rey Dave Aquino writes stories from the Philippines. His writing frequently surveys familial relations, queerness, childhood, his personal experiences, and critical reflections. His fiction has been published in different literary venues, including Katitikan: Literary Journal of the Philippine South, Quarterly Literary Review Singapore, and Your Impossible Voice.He teaches language and literature courses at the University of the Philippines Baguio. His critical interests include Philippine literature, popular culture, representation, creative writing, language studies, and Filipino. He is pursuing his MA in Language and Literature at UP Baguio, where he earned his BA in Language and Literature.He was the Senior Office Assistant of Ugnayan ng Pahinungód Baguio, UP Baguio's volunteer service unit which implements programs, projects, and activities in underserved communities in Northern Luzon.He loves SEVENTEEN, and he is Vernon-biased.
